Yesterday was one of those crazy-busy days, but perhaps the high point of it was an internship interview I had.

After ethics, I had my phone interview with Amelia Gruber, features editor of Roll Call–a niche publication that’s seen as THE newspaper of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Overall, I think the interview went very well and that I’m definitely a contender for it. One major thing I had told her was my concern that the Web site seemed to be nothing but print stories. Fortunately, she said that’s something they’re trying to change, and my having even a little knowledge of some multimedia is a big bonus. She said if I get the internship, she would try and make sure I could use some of my skills with their online peeps.

I thought it was really interesting that just being an amateur with few multimedia skills gave me such a bonus for an awesome internship.

I guess this Internet thing is catching on.
