Live blogging the presidential debate for NYTimes.com

Just a quick update for anyone stopping by tonight.

Almost 20 college newspaper editors and I will be live blogging tonight’s presidential debate for The New York Times’ political blog The Caucus.

    Hi,

    Congrats on being featured on the NYT website this morning. Why exactly did you expect the first debate to be more “generalized?” It was billed way ahead of time as a foreign-policy debate.

    I figured it would be more generalized because it was really the first intro the candidates would have to the American public, aside from the conventions. I expected them to be setting up their basic ideologies and whatnot.
